The Secret Lives of Hands and Faces: A Dry-Skin Survivor’s Tale

There’s nothing glamorous about dry skin. There’s no glow. No radiance. Just that tight, itchy feeling that makes you want to crawl out of your epidermis. And don’t even get me started on the hands. Cracked knuckles in winter, rough palms in summer, and that one mysterious cut that appears out of nowhere like it’s trying to ruin your day and your manicure.

I’m what you might call a Dry Skin Lifer. I’ve lived in humid places, dry places, desert climates, cities by the sea, and yet—no matter how many hydrating serums or “miracle” creams I’ve tried—I’ve ended up back at square one: flakey, thirsty, moody skin that won’t behave.

So, when I stumbled across Apothecuryous and their cult-following creams—Seed the Dream for your face and Handsome Hands for your hands (and apparently elbows, knees, heels, and other battle-weary body zones)—I was intrigued not just because of the aesthetic labels or the luxurious-sounding botanical oils, but because of the story behind the brand. Tatiana Boland, the founder, is one of us: a dry-skin veteran who got tired of the endless disappointment and decided to do something about it.

And let me say—Tatiana did the thing.
