Refund policy
1. Overview
We want you to enjoy every Apothecuryous purchase. Because our products are used on the body and considered personal care items, we must follow strict hygiene and safety standards. This policy explains when returns, refunds, and exchanges are available and how to request them.
By placing an order with Apothecuryous, you agree to the terms of this Return & Refund Policy.
2. Returns
2.1 Used Products
Due to the intimate and personal nature of our products, we do not accept returns of any opened or used items. This is for the health, safety, and peace of mind of all customers.
2.2 Unopened & Unused Products
We accept returns of unopened and unused products under the following conditions:
- The return request is made within 14 days of the original purchase date.
- The product is in its original, unopened packaging and in resellable condition.
- Proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or order number) is provided.
If you have purchased an item that is not suitable for you or the recipient and it cannot be returned under this policy, we invite you to consider donating it to a friend, family member, or local organization (where appropriate).
Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless otherwise required by law.
3. Damaged or Defective Items
We stand behind the quality of our products. Refunds or exchanges are only available for items that arrive damaged or defective.
If your order arrives damaged or appears defective:
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery.
- Email us at hello@apothecuryous.com with:
- Your name and order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the damaged product and packaging
Once we review your request and confirm the issue, we will offer one of the following, at our discretion:
- A replacement of the same item, or
- A refund to your original method of payment.
We may request that damaged/defective products be returned or safely discarded, depending on the situation.
4. Refunds
4.1 Eligibility for Refunds
A refund may be issued when:
- A product is confirmed damaged or defective upon arrival, or
- A return of an unopened, unused product is approved within the 14-day window.
4.2 Refund Process
Once your return or damage claim is received and inspected, we will notify you by email that we have received your request and will inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved:
- Your refund will be processed to your original method of payment.
- Your bank or credit card company may take additional time to post the credit.
If you have not received a refund after receiving our approval:
- Check your bank or credit card statement again.
- Contact your credit card company or bank—processing times vary.
- If you still do not see your refund, contact us at hello@apothecuryous.com.
5. Exchanges
We only exchange items if they are defective or damaged upon arrival.
If you need to exchange a damaged or defective item for the same product:
- Email us at hello@apothecuryous.com with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue.
- Once approved, we will arrange shipment of a replacement item or provide instructions for return, if needed.
Exchanges are not available for change-of-mind, scent preferences, or general dissatisfaction with performance, as individual skin and scent preferences vary.
6. Shipping Returns
If your return is approved (for unopened/unused items or as part of a damage/defect claim), we will provide you with return instructions. Unless otherwise required by law:
- You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning items.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
7. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-returnable and non-refundable, except where required by law:
- Opened or used products
- Items returned more than 14 days after purchase
- Sale, clearance, or final sale items clearly marked as non-returnable
- Gift cards and digital products
8. Policy Changes & Governing Law
We may update or modify this Return & Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will apply to orders placed after the updated policy is posted.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska and applicable U.S. federal law.
