With a deep belief that the Earth provides everything we need, Apothecuryous draws upon the strengths of various elemental and organic sources to create its products.

Apothecuryous was founded in 2015 by Tatiana Boland in the interest of creating premium products using recognizable and/or food-grade ingredients, in personal body care.

Apothecuryous is committed to providing complete ingredients lists and information about various materials used for all products, in an effort to educate consumers, and help them make informed decisions based on their own unique needs.

Certified Organic ingredients are used as much as possible in formulations.  Certified Organic ingredients used include herbs, carrier oils, butters, seaweed, essential oils, apple cider vinegar, and vodka (for tinctures).

About Tatiana~

Tatiana has been educating herself about the healing powers of herbs and foods since the early 1990's.  In 1993 Tatiana studied Organic Agriculture at Prescott College in Arizona and was a Certified Organic farmer for a short time in Chicago-land in 1996.  She graduated from The Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington in 2000.  Tatiana worked as a produce manager at the Olympia Food Co-op for 10 years, and continues to work in the natural grocery industry, in Omaha Nebraska.

During a class called "Politics of Food, Hunger, and the American Diet"  at Prescott College there was a segment on sugar consumption.  At that time Tatiana learned to read labels of all packaged food items, and to make buying decisions based on minimal ingredients, with recognizable names.  After doing this for years on food items, Tatiana applied the same practice to her body care items, almost as an afterthought.  The discovery was unsettling.  Over time she has learned that ingredients used in personal body care are loosely regulated in the United States, and some are even banned from use in Europe.

Tatiana started making cold process soap annually, in 2002 with the Olympia Ladies Soap Collective, and continues to make soap in Omaha.  She experimented with using clay to clean hair for about 5 years in Washington, before finding the formula for the Rhassoul Clay Hair Cleanser eventually.  She made the permanent switch to tooth powder from tooth paste in the early 2000's.  She created the formula for Activated Charcoal Tooth Powder after seeing accumulated coffee stains on all her teeth except a front tooth crown.

Tatiana is a multi-talented, avid learner who enjoys sharing knowledge and learning from people and experiences.
