Make Your Own Sugar Scrub

This class will teach the basics of sugar scrub formulation, the percentage materials are typically found in sugar scrubs, and additional high performance ingredients that can be added to personalize the product.

Each student will take home 8 ounces of custom crafted sugar scrub, made to their own specifications. A blend of Organic Mango butter and Organic Sunflower oil will be used in the class. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of botanical extracts, clays, specialty salts and dried herbs. Students will learnt basic perfumery and how to write a simple formula.

Students must be able to descend 6 stairs into the basement classroom.

Separate $25 supplies fee per student to be collected the day of the class.

Want to make more? Students have the option of making multiples for an additional supplies fee, as long as time allows.

Supplies included in fee: sugar and other dry ingredients, oils and butters, essential oils,  2 4 ounce containers or 1 8 ounce container, pipettes, scales and other supplies, reference materials and more.

Students are asked to bring their favorite apron, a medium sized mixing bowl, spoon and spatula.

 If at all possible students are also asked to bring a digital food scale.
